The Picture
You can use almost any picture for your Advertising
Jigsaw. As long as you own or have permission to use it.
It can be almost any size, but pictures less than 500 x
500 pixels are really too small. Pictures above 1000 x
800 pixels may not be seen on the screen all at once,
but the user can scroll around. They won’t like
scrolling too much, so check the size of your picture
first.
Types of picture
There are really only two types of Advertising Jigsaw
picture.
Pictures which themselves advertise your business.
Pictures of your premises, Merchandise, delivery van,
new company HQ etc. These, if seen on there own could be
an advert for your business.
Pictures which do not themselves advertise your
business. Pictures which when viewed on there own do not
relate to your business. Landscapes, portraits, scenic
views etc.
Both types of picture work well for advertising jigsaws.
If you have an interesting office you could use a
picture of that. Busy offices can make good jigsaw
pictures. Perhaps your building is interesting, maybe it
is historic or state of the art?
Is the view from your office window picturesque or
interesting? Are you situated in an interesting place, a
historic town perhaps? If so go out and take some
photographs.
Whatever picture you decide to use, please remember that
a poor quality picture will produce a poor quality
jigsaw. So if you are going to take your own pictures,
set the camera to the highest resolution, make sure
there is plenty of light and hold the camera steady.
How Many Pieces
The number of pieces can be anything from 50 upwards,
but note that the more pieces you have the smaller they
will be.
Also, the larger your picture the more pieces it can
have, but a large picture may not be seen on the screen
all at once.
We recommend a maximum of 1000 pieces, but for this the
picture must be at least 1024 x 768 pixels.
700 – 800 is about the limit for a 800 x 600 pixel
picture.
